Double Delegate
UNHRC (United Nations Human Rights Council):
This GMUNC, the United Nations Human Rights Council will be attempting to solve the issue of children getting involved in armed conflict. In this double-delegation committee, participants will have to collaborate with each other and find ways to protect children and their rights worldwide, whether that be by preventing their recruitment by armed forces, providing aid to child soldiers, or putting an emphasis on education. The destiny of millions of children is in your hands.

Cuban Missile Crisis:
As tensions between the United States and Soviet Union rise amidst the Cold War, the discovery of Soviet missiles in Cuba by spy planes sparks an immediate response from United States President John F. Kennedy and his executive cabinet. The world is the closest it has been to nuclear war, and the U.S. and Soviet Union must reach an agreement before chaos erupts. Delegates will represent leaders from both sides and establish a solution to the newly discovered missiles and devise a plan for the future of nuclear arms in global affairs.

Iranian Hostage Crisis:
This committee is set moments after the Iranian Hostage Crisis embarks, originally lasting from 4th of November, 1979 to 20th of January, 1981. The most profound crisis during the Carter presidency, the U.S government was committed to the safe return of hostages while minimizing the damages to American interests and prestige. Historically, the hostage crisis leads to four decades of declining political relationships. Delegates will be given the opportunity to lessen the damage done to the relationship between the U.S and Iran while ensuring a rapid return of hostages in this committee.

Joint Crisis
NATO vs. Warsaw Pact
This year, GMUNC will be taking a different approach to crisis. For the first time, we will be introducing a Joint Committee Crisis between NATO and the Warsaw Pact.
It is 1982. The tensions are escalating between the United States and the USSR, after a soviet shoot down of an airliner. Consequently, an emergency meeting has been called to order on both sides of the Iron Curtain. However, this time, instead of delegates representing their nations, the heads of state and various high-ranking members of the armed forces have been called to debate on the course of action. Needless to say, it will be interesting to see how will delegates will approach one of the most turbulent times in history.
